[Curt's in front of the camera, wearing tight leather pants and a black t-shirt. He has found platform shoes and he is pleased. Behind him, people are scurrying around with various borrowed pieces of equipment, some of which are producing vuvuzela noises, much to their dismay. It's pretty much chaos and Curt is so excited he's literally bouncing up and down.]

Hey, you guys, have anyone else's recordings turning into nothing but that weird noise? Never fear, Time Bomb is here to help, with a surprise outdoor concert as soon as we finish setting up the equipment until midnight or whenever someone kicks us out. Only I don't think that's likely because even if you hate our music I bet you hate all this fucking buzzing more. So come on down, and bring an instrument if you have one, we're gonna be doing a lot of jamming.

[ooc: I totally meant to plan stuff out for this, but then my hiatus ended up being more total than I expected. So that's why there's no location given, but assume somewhere fairly obvious and accessible. What Curt doesn't realize yet is that every now and then the sound of the instruments will get replaced with vuvuzela noises, but when that happens he'll just roll with it. I am used to Bardic music. [He switches to video and tilts his head.] The sort that uses this. [He holds up his slightly battered lute.]

[Staring] Bri-- [He shakes his head, tilting the device as this will help. It can't possibly be Brian and he's seen the whole doppelganger thing before with Dorian and Caspian, but still.]

[He's a bit thrown by the reaction. Blinking several times, he clears his throat before answering.]

Yes, it is. And my name is Vanyel Ashkevron.

[Curt realized he should probably try to explain.]

It's just...you look like someone I know. Knew. I mean, exactly like. Well, except for the hair.

[He tries to shake off the weirdness. It's not easy.]

[Vanyel softens and watches Curt carefully.]

Someone you miss?

[He could sense certain overtones in Curt's voice. Closing his eyes, he sighs.]

I know the feeling. It's nice to meet you, Curt. You can call me Van if you like.

[It's a flat, automatic response and pretty much a lie since he's had plenty of time to stop being angry about the whole record fiasco, but it's as much as he wants to say to a stranger with the same face, even if he feels sort of bad since Vanyel is obviously missing someone of his own.]

Nice to meet you, Van. Feel free to come see the concert.

[Believe it or not, Vanyel knows that anger as well - though he was never mad at Tylendel. He hated himself more than anyone else. But he also detested those that talked badly about his lover.]

[Picking up his lute, he begins to play intricate runs.]

[He watches for a moment, but he has a concert to focus on and he's thrown enough already, so he forces himself to just end the connection.]

[he'd be eyeing your getup if this wasn't just a voice post.]

Everyone's pretty desperate for a way to get away from that noise, so I think you'll have a good crowd. Even if the music doesn't help much, we'll be in good company, right?

Dunno, I'll have to ask the others--I'm focusing on vocals. The PA system is definitely messed up, though. So that's a problem, I guess.

Yeah, there is that. You know what? I feel pretty good about today. And not just because I don't sound like a nest of mad bees.

What else do you feel good about? Give me some optimism! Everyone else is so surly.

I'm going to perform and everything might part at any moment and I'm alive and nobody's been telling me what to do lately and there are lots of people in the audience who look great even if they are all mostly kind of grumpy.
