For once there are some specific people I would really love to see.

I guess I wouldn't really mind seeing some people from back home either, but I doubt that's gonna happen.

Then hello, Curt! Believe me, I'm glad I showed up, too.

How are you? How's the band? Are you doing okay?

I'm all right. I wrote a bunch of new songs lately. For a while a bunch of people were having memory problems and I started forgetting everything I knew before, but everything okay now. We should have an album coming out sooner or later.

Raikov left too, but he's back today.

Everyone in the City was having memory problems? Eugh. How do you know you got everything back?

[Oh, but excited!] An album! Seriously? Like, one people can buy? Can I get one from you? Not right away, I mean, but when this happens again. It'd be pretty incredible to be able to hear you at home.

Sorry, Curt. Not that he's back, just that--you know.

I guess I don't, but I figure if it was anything important I'd notice it missing.

Campbell, that's my new roommate is a DJ and he says he's gonna get a show going and play my music. I'll totally give you a copy. Um, where is home now exactly? [Which is sort of an awkward question, but she is dead.]

Yeah. Yeah, I know.

[That sounds perfectly logical to Penny.]

Sounds like a match made in heaven--a singer with a DJ roomie. I'll... I think I'll just have to swing by sometime. Home's somewhere between here and the Afterlife, and postage gets crazy. There're some ninjas and pirates in the way, too, so it's definitely not an easy trip without help. [This, of course, is all said rather cheerfully as if home didn't involve being dead.]

It's cool except then he said my music was like oldies stuff and I had an existential moment of whatever. He's nuts but he has a record player so he's an okay kid.

That sounds far out.

Well, Raikov's coming over later so...but right now I'm not busy.

You don't need to listen to him or anyone else. You can even ignore me when I say that I really like your music--most of it.

It's nothing compared to everything else.

Aw, I don't want to butt into your time with him. I just need a minute for a hug.

I'd really like to actually see you, so I'm sure I can spare more than a minute.

Spare an hour or three. I want to see her too.

I thought you might. It'll be fun. I think I still have vodka?

Raikov! Are you two sure you don't want some alone time?

[Curt waits for them to show up, managing to sort out clean glasses and various forms of alcohol.]

[Penny knocks because she's polite that way. Not that manners seem like a necessary thing when dealing with her favorite crazy rock star.]

Curt? You better not've moved without telling me.

[Curt opens the door to an apartment that contains about 80% less throw pillows since Raikov left. The cat pokes his head out, recognizes the lady that made him go to the vet, and runs off to go ~~hide in~~ rule over the closet.]

[Penny takes that as an open invitation to hug, which she does.]

It's so good to see you! You look great.

[You know. For a given value of 'great,' since Curt's 'great' is very different from the norm.]
