[Video/Action]

[Curt Wild has something to prove, and that something is that he rocks harder than anyone else, no matter how cursed they are. He also is proving that he looks the best in tight silver pants. The concert is somewhat thrown together considering the band mostly formed the day before, but on the other hand there are suddenly plenty of people able to handle the business end of things and he was able to take his pick of musicians. This is, now, the moment of truth, as he attempts to get through a slower and grungier song than normal, the one he never quite finished recording after that last fight with Brian,the one he forgot during that month of memory loss. There  is, surprisingly, no glitter in evidence. Less surprisingly, neither is Curt's shirt.]

[ooc: The concert post, as promised here. I just got back from vacation so there will be a lot of backdating because I'm exhausted. Band members  Campbell Bain, Stephen Stills, Mai, and Demyx  plusHanna using fire which I'm sure will totally end well. Very much open to audience members whether groupies or hecklers.]

[Stephen is hanging out near the far side of the stage. He's wearing a pretty spiffy western shirt (actually ironed this time!) jeans, and heavy boots. His hair's been slightly more artfully spiked rather than it's usual mess. At some point, he may have got some glitter on him, but not on purpose.

He's totally rocking out on his bass, too. Totally focused, getting right into the music, acting like he's forgotten they're even being watched.]

[Demyx is stationed on the other side of the stage, and he's in the back for practically most of the songs, so throughout the performance he's got a good view of the drummer's podium, and during song changes or when they can move freely about the stage, he can see Stephen pretty well. He flashes a grin, and sticks out his tongue at him, attempting to be rock, but without the hand symbol it pretty much comes out as just sticking his tongue out.]

[Stephen shakes his head, trying to stay in the moment. He mouths 'DORK' at Demyx pretty obviously between songs]

[He is not to be deterred! He mouths back, 'A cool dork', and grins in a self-satisfied manner.]

[Mai was wearing a weird mix of goth/punk made of red, black and copper. The top of her goth, lace and zippers over a black and red corset and fishnet fingerless gloves on her hands. Then below her waist is ripped black jeans, belts (that held small knives) and ass-kicking boots. Her hair is worn back, but with two sections of hair falling down over the front of her shoulders to cover more skin, and the makeup she bothered with was lipstick and eyeshadow that smoked out her eyes.

For her part, she stays focused on her drums but she sees you back there by the podium Demyx, and you better not get too close or else she will thunk you with a stick, twirl it and then go on to hit the next beat so she doesn't lose enough rhythm to mess up the song.]

[Ow! Hey, give him a break! Geez, you're always giving him a hard time. Good thing his tongue's out, because now he's purposely sticking it out at you.

Yeah. Take that.]

[This is her space, and her drums. She doesn't want him around them. So, he gets a sideways glare when she notices him not going away.

And between songs, she turns to look over at him.]

Shouldn't you be front and center wowing your fans?

[He shrugs.]

Curt 'n' Campbell usually go up front. I hang around the back and sides more. [He perks up a little more.] But, hey, my song's comin' up! I'll probably go to the front soon.

[He starts moving away from her stand, but can't help but add,] What, don't like having me here?

[She twirls a stick in one hand for a few moments, just watching him. It isn't that she looks like she hates him. She just doesn't want him so close to her drumset. It's bad enough that some not-fire-bender guy is in charge of setting off fireballs... she doesn't want to chance Demyx doing something that might knock over her set up.]

Gee. What would make you think that?

[Following a short pause, she nods her head toward the front where Curt and Campbell are.]

There's plenty of room for one more guy up there.

Ninety per cent non-verbal communication.

[He grins widely.]

Yeah, maybe I should start moving around the stage more. Thanks.

[And off he scampers, taking more spotlight.]

Hmmm.

[Mai does speak mostly with non-verbal communication. Maybe he's not so clueless, but still... she doesn't want him near her drums.]

Try not to mess up your solo.

[They are definitely one of the most mismatched bands ever but Curt decides he doesn't care. It can be part of a Statement, or something, and anyway they're on stage so it doesn't matter. Unlike Stephen, he can't ignore the audience, it's the whole point--the main thing that feeds his frenetic energy. Well, that and the other members of the band. It's not like he's trying to distract Stephen, but he can't help sidling over to all the members of the band during instrumental sections and giving them gigantic shit-eating grins because this is awesome isn't it?]

[Stephen can't help it. There is something insanely infectious about Curt's energy. He grins back, and starts moving around a bit more, giving a little something for the audience]
