Dear Santa,

Before we really get started here, I'm just gonna point out that I think it's only fair that you judge me compared to how I normally behave, because on a relative scale I've been almost staggeringly good this year.

With that out of the way, I need a new coffee maker and I want a copy of Orpheé. I could always use more strings and picks, and I definitely wouldn't say no to a new Marshall tube amp. More records are always cool too. My cat would probably like a catnip mouse and something he can scratch the hell out of without me yelling at him. I would also like to find a drummer and for my boyfriend to dominate me, but you probably can't do anything about that.

[If Curt thinks he feels awkward... Going to bury his head in his hands forever now.]

Sorry. I'm not really very good at the talking part yet.

Talk is cheap, anyway. But I kind of thought it was something that wouldn't occur to you if I didn't bring it up, so I was waiting for the right moment. And got this instead.

I guess there's kinda a lot of stuff that doesn't occur to me.

Did you want to... meet up tonight?

Yeah, okay.

Okay, I'll be there in a bit.

[Probably with booze...]

[Always acceptable. Curt'll be waiting.]

[It's not long before he's knocking on his door.]

Hi. I brought wine.

Well, aren't we fancy tonight.

It's leftover from Thanksgiving.

[He going to go ahead and step in over the threshold, getting his arms around Curt's neck to kiss him.]

[Curt kisses back and tugs Stephen inside by the hips.]

I'll try to find clean glasses.

Do you think you're likely to?

[Going ahead and grabbing a seat at the counter.]

Uh...I could wash some.

[He does check the cabinets, though. The kitchen stuff is mostly left over from previous residents, which means it's actually a lot more well-stocked than if Curt and Campbell had tried to furnish it.]

I know there are wineglasses around here somewhere.

Any kind of glass'll work.

[It wasn't too long ago he was still a student. He's not above drinking wine out of a mug.]

[Curt actually finds two wineglasses, only one of which needs to be washed. It's not as if they remotely match, but, hey, win.]

I have a lot of things, just not in places that make sense...that's going to make moving fun.

So you're moving for sure?

Yeah, unless I suddenly find a replacement loony. I can't afford this place on my own much longer and I'm not exactly easy to live with. Besides, it might be nice not having to worry if a roommate's home, you know?

[Which he should know, considering Sudden Interrupting Campbell incidents.]

As long as you think you'll be okay. I know people've said stuff about the ticking.

I think it'll be okay. I'll just try not to spend a lot of time at home alone.

[Which just makes Stephen need to come around the counter.]

I guess I could help with that. If you need me to.

[Curt bumps him with his hip, because his hands are full.]

Yeah, you better.

[Stephen makes a mildly offended noise at being bumped. Both hands move to Curt's hips, just holding him for a moment as he steps in to place a kiss at the back of his neck.]

[Okay, the glasses are definitely clean enough. He doesn't turn around immediately, though.]

That tickles.

Sorry.

[Still not going to stop, though.]

[Curt leans back into him and for a moment, reaching a hand back to stroke the back of Stephen's head..]

[His hands come around further, linking around his waist as he moves under Curt's jawline.]
