Now that's that out of the way, I want to tell you about the Beast.  I'd been hearing some weird noises around my apartment and one day I finally saw something move out of the corner of my eye, so I figured it was probably time to clean things up a little.  I was worried I had mice or something but then I actually caught sight of the Beast, which turned out to be a cat.  Seems it's been getting in off the fire escape, through the tear in the screen.  I should maybe get that fixed, but it's kind of nice having something else alive around the place, what with the ticking at all.  Even if it does look like this:



I've been feeding it, so it shows up for a bit more days than not.  Won't get within about five feet of me, but I'm okay with that.

Seriously? Maybe it shouldn't stay with you. I could get some leather gloves and we could catch it... get it checked out by a vet, maybe, and let it go somewhere where it won't eat anyone's face.

It hasn't actually done anything yet. Hasn't even pissed on the carpet. I'm sort of getting fond of it, but yeah I guess somebody should take a look at it.

No, not really, but the Beast isn't actually here right now. I think the flash freaked it out so I might have to bribe it back in the window, assuming it isn't halfway across the city by now.
