13th Note

[Voice]

Soooooo.  That's how I met Brian Slade, not that that's likely to mean much to anyone else.  Kinda cool to hear Polly and see the twins again, though. That was only, like, a little over a year ago, but it could've been another lifetime.

[ooc: Memory starts at about the 1 minute mark so ignore the fact that Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, and James Dean are sitting there despite the fact that this makes no sense whatsoever. Even within the movie it's a memory sequence]

Is that what kind of life you led--
Completely drugged out of your head?
Is that how a star
Makes it that far?
It's depressing.

What kind of things did you do
When the rock star life happened to you?
You don't look good...
It's a little distressing.

How did you end up there?
There on the ground
Before you were found by Brian?

[That's fine with Penny. She's tired of singing, and everything comes out... not quite right and a little more honest than she'd like to be.

To spare Curt further song, she turns on the video function, points to herself, then to her device, and mouths the word "off." Hopefully he understands crappy miming.]

[Yeah. There's no way to reply to that without doing something vocal, and Penny likes Curt too much to inflict that on him. She cuts the connection--the dumb curse won't even let her type--and makes a mental note to ask what he means by that.

Although she can guess.]
