Summary; Rain or shine--or total lack of shine--the album release party is going forward.
Log;Curt probably could have managed to throw a larger party, but he didn't really want one, and the half of the bar they've rented out is filling up fast enough as it is. He's gone for his shiny silver pants tonight, because it is a celebration, and a romantically flowing white shirt because that covers up the bandages on his arms. Tonight is a night for many people to get very drunk and listen to the album many times. If there's some use and abuse of newly acquired superpowers along the way, so be it. (It is secretly Curt's birthday too.)

[Curt is making a particular effort to make the rounds and talk to everyone he can. After all, he must have invited most of these people. It's rare he feels this accomplished, and it's a nice feeling.]

[Lucy arrives fairly early. She's dressed for a party (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=38320334) and armed with industrial strength glo-sticks just in case. She sees Curt across the bar and makes a bee line for him, catching him in a hug.]

[Curt throws and arm around her, heedless of his relatively recent cuts.]

[Stephen is sticking to his usual spot at the bar, beer in hand. He is actually enjoying himself (not that he's going to let too many people have the satisfaction of knowing that...). The euphoria of actually having a flipping album released is over-riding his usual anxieties about this sort of thing. And yeah, knowing who is came here with is helping a a little... Stephen catches Curt's eye next time he comes by and points to a drink on the counter he got for him.]

[Curt pushes his way over to stand next to Stephen and grins at him.]

Thanks. Just what I needed.

[Neil is doing the whole awkward wallflower thing, only he has a ridiculous giddy grin on his face. He's more than a little excited to be here, and is conveniently ignoring the fact that it doesn't actually seem all that exclusive.]

[Lucy catches sight of Neil doing the awkward wallflower thing and decides that won't do at all. She bounces up to him, flings her arms around him and leans in to kiss him. She may have already had a good deal to drink.]

[Stephen's finally managed to shakes Lucy long enough to come over and say hi.]

[Demyx is having his usual One Drink in addition to his usual One Annoyed Bartender Stare. Unlike usual, however, they have an album! Which is a really good thing for some reason. It is really cool, though. Due to this unique entertainment, Demyx is pretty much just by the speakers getting excited at certain parts. When the sitar is particularly more audible even tiniest bit, he starts shouting so to anyone who'll listen.]

Hey- Hey there's like a measure of really loud sitar here!

[ Time Bomb isn't exactly Eames' cup of tea concerning music, but he's had a stressful enough day and could do with drinks and the noise loud enough to drown it out, relax him. Besides, he can support Stephen well enough - and the others comprising the group that he hasn't met yet. ]

[ The quirk of his mouth he offers Stephen is easy, if a little tired. ]

[IS HE READY TO MEET ONE OF SAID OTHERS? Because Demyx is excitedly walking, gesturing, and talking at some poor NPC that has just asked him 'so, like, what exactly is a sitar?' and they cannot shake him off subtle-y, so they point in Eames' direction and say 'Hey, that dude's looking for you.' and run when Demyx turns his head to say,]

[Curt pauses for just a second to try to place him, which he can't, so he's relatively sure he wasn't the one who invited him.]

Hey, I don't know you do I? I'm Curt Wild.

[ Eames tips his head a bit, mouth curving. ] Eames.

[This awkward kid bumps into you because he's not all there in the paying-attention-to-where-he's-going department. Luckily, he manages not to spill his beer. This time.]
