Soooooo.  That's how I met Brian Slade, not that that's likely to mean much to anyone else.  Kinda cool to hear Polly and see the twins again, though. That was only, like, a little over a year ago, but it could've been another lifetime.

Honestly, I think the fact that it's so clear is the City's doing. I did mostly remember the next day, even if I was still pretty confused exactly how I ended up in a meeting with Brian and his manager.

Well, I was coming out of a really bad time. But I was heading up, Brian didn't drag me out of the ditch singlehandedly or whatever.

Somehow I ended up with a record deal the next day. Fell through in the end, but I guess that's life, or mine anyway, or just what happens when you mix business with pleasure.
